Allen Good has steer wrestled since 1979 and is a twelve-time Badlands Circuit Finals qualifier with PRCA wins at Tucson and San Antonio. The Good ranch near Long Valley has been in the family roughly 70 years and has produced generations of bulldogging and hazing horses, work recognized with a Rodeo Legacy Award from the South Dakota Quarter Horse Association. Allen teaches the family's two annual spring schools alongside Gordon, Carson, and Denton Good and Ryan Richardson. Instruction runs from the steer saver drill to chute dogging to live steers from horseback, with footwork, catch position, and knee bend emphasized, plus horsemanship help on your own horse.
