Rope Myers built one of the most consistent careers in the event, winning the 2001 world championship and qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo nine times. He still holds the NFR ten-head average record. Myers runs steer wrestling clinics out of Sky Ranch Arena in Van, Texas, a family tradition his site traces back to 1969, and partners with Sky Ranch on its Champions Rodeo and Elite Rodeo Clinic programs for high school and college athletes.
